The North Queensland Club is an exclusive wedding and function venue, where old world charm meets the contemporary, located right in the heart of the city.
While we're the perfect location for small to medium size wedding receptions, we also cater for parties and special occasions, community group events, and corporate functions such as meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences and networking events. No matter the function, we have the resources and expertise to make it a success.
The Club is situated in Denham Street, Townsville city, and is within easy walking distance to many accommodation houses, nightclubs and other entertainment venues. We also offer free onsite parking for all our function guests.
We have the capacity for up to 120 guests cocktail style, 100 guests seated banquet style, 100 guests seated theatre style and numerous other configurations. Besides the main function room we also have a small private room that can be utilised as a breakout space for conferences or meetings, a dressing room for entertainment or a quiet lounge area for all types of functions. The Club also features an in-built parquetry dance floor, perfect for that first husband and wife dance or a late night boogie.
Here at the North Queensland Club we understand that delicious, abundant, quality food is a necessity at any function, and our full time in-house French Chef Jean-Francois Desiage knows how to deliver just that. From beautiful light morning teas, filling gourmet working lunches, affordable and abundant buffets, to three course alternate drop menus with amazing delicacies, we have an option for every occasion. To go with the delicious food we also have an extensive beverage selection with something for every budget and taste.
The Club's audio visual equipment can meet the needs of the most discerning event organiser, and includes an in-built sound system, large screen TV's for presentations, a data projector and screen, cordless microphone with stand, lectern and whiteboards.
The North Queensland Club is staffed with a professional and experienced event manager, who will take care of all your needs personally from the first enquiry right through to the end of the function, including being onsite to run the event from start to finish, making the whole process as easy and seamless as possible. During the event our small team of dedicated, friendly and well-trained staff will deliver the highest standard of service to you and your guests, ensuring that an enjoyable time is had by all.
